When Norman and I left for this vacation, we were playing with the idea of moving here permanently by the end of October. Then we wanted to learn the language, search for a piece of land and start building a house. Like this it would have taken until around 2020 until we could actually live there.
Now things have changed. The landlord of this residence took a liking to us and offered us a piece of his land 3 days ago. The good thing about this area is that it’s not somewhere far out in the countryside. Due to this we already have access to electricity and water! Additionaly there are supermarkets close by and there is a possibility of getting internet here! To us this sounded too good to be true, so we took it 🙂
So there we were, strolling on “our home to be” at midnight and dreaming. We came up with the idea of trying to design our own house, so we searched for an appropriate tool. For a couple of days our star architect, Norman, has been working on it. The first designs were pretty lame (although I was always way too impressed to notice at the time) and it wasn’t that easy. We hadn’t yet figured out the exact measurements. It’s somewhere between 600 and 700 square meters, I think closer too 600 than 700. It doesn’t really matter to us because in any case we made a hell of a bargain where practically everything feels right!
I only have a short video which I can share, taking videos is not really one of our priorities at the moment 😉
So that’s the land. Basically everything right of the nets to the far wall. I think we will have alot of fun with this 😀
Already having land at this point speeds up our plans by over half a year! If we manage to “convince” the people here to start on the house we just might be lucky in October for it to almost be ready! Then there is still the garden and the pool to work on 🙂
That’s it for the moment.
All our expectations have been surpassed by far.
